As alumni of a public university, you are probably well aware of the challenges facing today’s college students, who wish to freely live out their faith on campuses. With hundreds of major public universities and colleges across the country having unconstitutional policies, we have a lot of work to do to win back the religious liberty for which our Founding Fathers fought so bravely.
Across America, public universities are enforcing speech codes, speech zones and speech-restrictive policies, student activity fee policies, “nondiscrimination” policies, and academic and employment retaliation to restrict Christian students’ fundamental liberties: freedom of speech, association, equal access, equality of opportunity and exercising of their religious beliefs. Christian students are not only censored, but often face reprisal or punishment for speaking out on what they believe. At the same time, these institutions support and accommodate student groups that reject cornerstone American principles.
Alliance Defending Freedom is dedicated to restoring the public university environment to a true marketplace of ideas, where Christian students and faculty enjoy the freedom to live out and share their faith without fear of censorship, reprisal, or punishment. Alliance Defending Freedom has been leading the way to win this liberty back.
Join concerned Christians from across America and our Center for Academic Freedom in the movement to protect and preserve religious liberties on our campuses. You can donate your time by keeping informed about the issues, you can donate your voice by talking to others about issues facing Christian students at our public universities and you can donate your financial support which will allow Alliance Defending Freedom to protect the rights of Christian students, faculty and staff on campus.
